ok so the Halo movie’s supposed to come out in summer 2008, but production’s been halted cuz of monetary problems. The film is to be directed by Neill Blomkamp and executively produced by Peter Jackson.
i only no about halo.. srry.

I think that… as long as the movie’s are cool, have good plots, etc. I’d think they’re great…
They’re ok, but most of them could have been done better…
I wouldn’t mind seeing someone make a movie out of Metal Slug – that would be interesting…
i fear most video game to movie adaptations: Super Mario Bros, Double Dragon, and Street Fighter, just to name some. If you can find it, DOA is also rather cheesy.
Now, if you talk about Anime versions, then it’s a whole different story, which are usuaully ok…

I don’t know, I think video games are good the way they are, and would not make good movies. Resident Evil sucked. Final Fantasy: Spirits Within sucked. And so on…
Most video game adaptations are horrible. (Thanks to the infamous Ewe Boll – *Shudder*) The only exception I can think of is Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, but only for fans of the game. Anyone else would think it was dreadful.
if its good plagiarism, a term that means that d original creation is given a new breath of life, i dont really mind… but they tend to gloss things up to meet the en masse taste. they cant just focus on gamers if they want profit right? public taste run in mysterious waves…
